Afrochella suspends Deezy after sexual misconduct allegations

The “Afrochella” music festival’s organizers, Culture Management Group (CMG), have released a statement in response to allegations of sexual harassment made against Edward  Deezy Asafu Adjaye, one of the group’s founders.

Deezy was accused of sexual harassment on Twitter by several women on August 10, 2022.

Deezy reportedly has a habit of sending uninvited dick pictures to women on Snapchat.

Some girls who have experienced this harassment from the entrepreneur claimed that he bans them when they don’t accept his advances in a Twitter space on August 10 dubbed “#Ourexperiences.”
Deezy hasn’t addressed the allegations, but his company, the Culture Management Group, has released a statement to address the matter.

“Culture Management Group has zero tolerance for any form of harassment, discrimination, or violence. Our dedication to providing the most inclusive and safe event experiences for our guests, customers, partners, vendors, and employees alike requires us to take all forms of sexual harrasment and inappropriate behavior very seriously. We do not support misconduct toward women and assure you that we’re reviewing all materials related to these recent claims,” the statement reads.

The organisation also gave victims and the broader public the assurance that the matter is being investigated and that he has been asked to resign from his position at Afrochella with immediate effect.

“Within the next few days, we will share our resolution and path forward with respect to our community and in alignment with our zero tolerance policy. As we conduct our internal review, Edward (Deezy) Asafu Adjaye will be stepping down from his leadership position and responsibilities at Afrochella effective immediately,” the statement concluded.
