I regret giving Konadu Yiadom to Hearts of Oak, says agent

Joe Abu Salam has criticized Hearts of Oak and stated that he regrets agreeing to a deal to offer their club Konadu Yiadom in time for the upcoming football season.

Last week, Konadu Yiadom finished relocating to the Phobian Club.

The talented center-back was available for any price, according to Konadu’s agent Joe Abu Salam, but he selected the Phobians instead, a choice he later regretted.

The football official and player agent disputed to Asempa FM that Hearts of Oak had signed a three-year contract for the defender, saying that no deal had been concluded because the Phobians lacked the necessary cash.

He admitted on the Ultimate Sports Show that he regretted not handing Konadu Yiadom over to Asante Kotoko.

“Everything indicates that I erred. I should have taken the money from Asante Kotoko, which I regret greatly. Even [Kotoko Chief Executive] Nana Yaw admitted to me that Hearts of Oak were short on funds to pay the boy.

With the Academy Boys, the 22-year-old had an outstanding season, participating in practically every game and scoring one goal.

Hearts of Oak will represent the nation in the 2022–2023 CAF Confederations Cup.

The MTN FA Cup champions’ 2022–23 Ghana Premier League campaign will also get underway on the road against Aduana Stars.
